Last Saturday the Saints fell to local rivals Souths, the 3-2 loss the first time this season the blue and whites had not earned a competition point.
It saw them slip from first into second behind Lithgow Panthers on goal difference, but as Panthers will sit out this Saturday with the bye, it can not improve its position.
Pat’s certainly can, but it will mean beating Orange Wanderers.
Though Wanderers will not take part in the finals series and has not played for the last two weeks, the Orange side did push Pat’s earlier this season when going down 3-2.
Still, the Saints have an imposing record against Wanderers and the lure of a home semi-final will no doubt act as a big motivator.
Pat’s will take on Wanderers at the Cooke Hockey Complex from 4pm on Saturday.
