The Tekno Autosports team owner did not compete in February’s 12 Hour and thus far has not confirmed if he will partner Will Davison in this year’s Great Race.
Last week when questioned if he would attempt to defend the Peter Brock Trophy this October, he simply said that there’s “plenty of time” to make the decision.
Though Webb has no full-time drive this year and has spent little time behind the wheel of a Supercar, his laps at the Queensland Raceway only the second time he has steered the team’s Holden in 2017, he has plenty of experience at the Mount.
Webb has 11 starts in the Bathurst 1000 to his credit, with two other top 10 finishes aside from last year’s win.
He was eighth in 2015 with Shane van Gisbergen and sixth with Scott McLaughlin in 2012.
