Held in blustery conditions over the tough cross-roads course, riders from all grades took on the race.
The three-man scratch bunch of Jarrod Bell, Mark Windsor and promising young Orange rider Harry Bryant were up for a challenge as they gave up 30 minute start to the front markers.
Robyn Partridge and Marian Renshaw rode well in the windy conditions but John Howe, Rosemary Hastings and David Hyland moved into the lead on the hills.
Scott Allan wasn't far away from the lead group.
However, the big challenge was coming from coming World Age-Group Championships competitor Wilson and Hartley rider Kevin Bell.
At the rear of the field the scratch Makers caught the three minute group and the riders came together close to the mid race turn. Richard Hobson and Steven Scott assisted in the chase and the backmarkers were starting to look dangerous.
The catch wasn't to be as Kevin Bell, Wilson and Howe formed a winning break towards the end of the race.
Bell narrowly had Wilson’s measure at the end.
Windsor claimed fourth spot, and fastest individual time, with Bryant rounding out the top five.
Jarrod Bell took sixth place ahead of Hobson with Hastings who was the top placed female rider in eighth.
Rounding out the top 10 was David Reece and Scott Allen.
Saturday’s race was Wilson’s last ride in Australia before he heads to Albi, France, to take part in the World Championships.
