The forecast says snow is expected above 800m, meaning areas around Yetholme, Oberon and Fitzgeralds Mount could be in luck.
It is very unlikely we will snow around the centre of town, however.
Meanwhile, a sheep graziers’ warning remains in place for the Central Tablelands and other areas of the state.
“Sheep graziers are warned that cold temperatures, showers and strong westerly winds are expected during Thursday and Friday,” the bureau said in a warning issued at 10pm on Thursday.
“Areas likely to be affected include the Southern Tablelands, South West Slopes and Snowy Mountains forecast districts, extending to and parts of the Central Tablelands forecast district on Friday.
“There is a risk of losses of lambs and sheep exposed to these conditions.”
