Ekert, who also coaches the St Pat’s women’s Premier League outfit, watched on as his side posted three wins and a draw through their pool games to book a semi-final spot against Victoria.
Bathurst’s Riley Hanrahan has netted three goals thus far at the Townsville event.
Ekert’s side beat Victoria 5-1 earlier in the tournament, a result they will look to replicate to earn a place in Saturday’s grand final.
The NSW Country women’s side, which includes Bathurst City duo Kelsey Willott and Maddy Tattersall, has also advanced to the semi-finals.
They qualified in third after a pair of wins and two draws, Willott having scored twice during those pool games.
They will meet Australian Defence Forces in their semi-final.
