The Space Rocks exhibition is at the Australian Fossil and Mineral Museum. The exhibition of meteorites and astrophotography from the Bathurst Observatory includes spectacular images taken by Ray Pickard as well as meteorites from across the globe from his collection. The exhibition will run until December 1. Ross Pogson will provide a talk on the Molong Pallasite Meteorite, a visitor from outer space, at 5.30pm on Tuesday, August 22. Bookings are required. Bathurst Library, in conjunction with BooksPlus, will feature the beloved children’s book character The Gruffalo as part of Children’s Book Week. There will be special storytime sessions from Wednesday, August 23 to Friday, August 25 with a colouring competition and prizes.
