Renworx Pty Ltd has won the $2,267,308 tender for the construction and associated works of three playing fields at Proctor Park.
The work is planned to start in October and will include a significant upgrade of the Proctor Park drainage system to avoid a repeat of last year’s soccer season when a wet winter regularly left fields unplayable.
Bathurst Regional Council accepted the winning tender during a closed-door meeting last week.
The new fields are just the latest phase of a multi-million dollar upgrade at Proctor Park outlined in a master plan released in 2015.

- Proctor Park upgrade
Stage one of the redevelopment originally comprised the upgrade of the main field to an all-weather surface before council agreed to a request from Bathurst District Football to make constructing the three new fields the first priority.
The master plan also includes the purchase of 17.6 hectares adjacent to Proctor Park, the sealing of the main car park at the complex, new lighting and amenities rooms and a redevelopment of the grandstand.
