Since making his New South Wales debut in 2010, Copeland has become a vital member of the Blues bowling attack thanks to his fitness, work ethic and good economy rate.
He has already snared 263 first class wickets, his performances including an impressive 13 five-wicket hauls.
Last Saturday as Copeland joined his fellow Blues at Penrith’s Howell Oval for an intra-squad match, he once again shone with the ball.
In action for Team Jacques, Copeland snared four wickets, while his 10 overs went for just 19 runs.
Copeland and his fellow Blues will have another intra-squad game this Saturday at Hurstville before heading to Brisbane for a pre-season camp.
“It’s a good part of the calendar and the guys, it’s something they’ve targeted and are looking forward too,” coach Trent Johnston said.
