He has written and lectured extensively on deep ecology and has been conducting experiential deep ecology workshops around the world for 25 years. In 1995, he was awarded the Order of Australia Medal for services to conservation.

Old Government Cottage at 16 Stanley Street is open every Sunday afternoon, except Christmas Day, from noon to 4pm. The Bathurst District Historical Society urges you to visit the oldest brick building in Bathurst to see the pictorial timeline of Bathurst’s history, old photos of Bathurst slideshow and to look through the cottage.
