Macquarie Male Singers meet every Tuesday from 7.30pm in the Assumption School Hall in Mitre Street. It is an all-male choir with a singing strength of 30 members of all ages. For more information, contact John Kendall, 0427 410 625.
Allegri Singers and friends are rehearsing for two performances of Handel's Messiah in November. They are looking for choristers and, of course, ultimately audiences! Local author Alexandria Nagy will be in the Bathurst Library at 6pm to discuss her debut novel based on a true story. The Could Be Ring is the story of a boxer overcoming personal demons at the peak of his career. With romance, violence and themes of personal struggle, it's a story not to be missed.
