This fundraising exhibition is the perfect opportunity to pick up affordable art by local artists.
- Bathurst Art Fair
Local artists of all ages and abilities are encouraged to participate in the sixth Biennale Bathurst Art Fair.
Artists from across the Central West and Blue Mountains region are gearing up for this exciting opportunity.
The Gallery has already had an excellent response from artists with an expected 300 artworks to go on display for this selling exhibition.
Artists are free to explore any subject they like, so the Art Fair will feature a wide range of themes across all media including painting, sculpture, photography, printmaking and ceramics.
The Art Fair is a diverse and interesting showcase of local talent that generates a lot of excitement.
An initiative of the Bathurst Regional Art Gallery Society, this fundraising exhibition is the perfect opportunity to pick up affordable art by local artists.
All the works on display will be for sale and under $2000 with prices starting from $90.
The gallery is undergoing a refurbishment to improve the building’s energy efficiency and ensure the gallery meets best industry practice.
The current upgrade includes insulating and lining the walls and ceiling.
This is the final stage in a series of upgrades including a new air-conditioning system and humidifiers, new LED lighting and the installation of solar panels that will enable the gallery to borrow works from major Australian and international museums.
The gallery will reopen with the Bathurst Art Fair opening event at 6pm on Thursday, September 28, to be officially launched by BRAGS president Julia Blackwood.
The Bathurst Art Fair runs over the October long weekend from September 28 until Monday, October 2, 2017.
Entry forms are available on the BRAG website.
All artworks, completed entry forms and your payment must be delivered to Bathurst Regional Art Gallery on Sunday, September 24 from 11am until 2pm or Monday, September 25 between 10am- 2pm.
Each artist may submit up to three works to be exhibited in the fair.
