Women’s Health Week will be celebrated across the country next week and to mark the occasion Bathurst Women’s Health Centre is hosting a stand at Stockland Shopping Centre on Monday, September 4, from 2pm until 5pm.
Suzanne Li, a visiting reflexologist, will be providing free hand reflexology treatments on the day and free Jean Hailes gift packs will also be available.
Executive director of Jean Hailes, Janet Michelmore AO, said women usually put the needs of their family ahead of themselves, but staying healthy in mind and body is good for the whole community.
“Women’s Health Week is a chance for women to start prioritising their health, for everyone’s benefit,” she said.
Anne-marie Brittain, health promotion worker at the Central West Women’s Health Centre, encouraged women to join in Women’s Health Week by stopping by the information stand.
“Visit the stand to find a whole range of information regarding women’s health. While you are there you can pick up a Jean Hailes gift pack and even experience a free hand reflexology treatment,” she said.
