The company, trading as Aluka Constructions Pty Ltd, was voluntarily wound up on August 30.
Chad Rapsey from Rapsey Griffiths has been appointed liquidator and is still in the process of reviewing the company’s records.
Mr Rapsey said his appointment was initiated by the company which was insolvent and could not pay its debts when they were due.
“It would appear from my preliminary investigation that there were seven employees who have lost their jobs and I am assisting them access the Fair Entitlements Guarantee (FEG) scheme.
“There are approximately 75 creditors owed in excess of $1.1 million,” he said.
“The majority of these creditors are local subcontractors and suppliers in the building and construction industry in Bathurst.”
Mr Rapsey said he understood there were six homes at various stages of construction in both Bathurst and Parkes.
“I have been in contact with the customers impacted and advised them the company has ceased to trade and is therefore unable to complete their works,” he said.
“Each project has a Home Owners Warranty insurance policy and customers who have suffered any damages can claim via the Home Building Compensation Fund.”
