They brought two trucks to visit the school ahead of Saturday’s Bathurst Truckies’ Ball.
Carenne principal Jane Crosland said it was a big morning.
“The kids were really excited and we love the community support,” she said.
“The truckies’ ball this weekend will raise money for Carenne, so we can do up the playground.”
Mr Hagney, one of the organisers for the ball, said it is the first time the children at Carenne have been visited by the trucks.
“The kids really loved the trucks,” he said.
“It was a fantastic morning; they were really over the moon.
“One kid said his dad drives a truck and another caught on, saying the truck was a Mercedes Benz.”
The truckies’ ball is set to attract a crowd of over 100 people, many of whom travel from out of town to attend the event.
An auction will be held on the night and businesses throughout town will donate auction items.
This year’s Bathurst Truckies’ Ball will be held on Saturday at the Bathurst RSL from 6pm.
