Mammals Magic, a Village Jolt x Mammals Rocket mare from Hewitt’s Georges Plains stable, will line up in the 1,730 metres Menangle Where Horses Fly Heat.
Mammals Magic is second-up from a spell, her first start after almost five months in the paddock having come last week at Young in a heat of the same series for horses based at least 100 kilometres from Menangle.
In that race she placed second to Steve Turnbull’s Zaras Choice – a mare she will do battle with once more on Wednesday.
From barrier one Zaras Choice is drawn to lead, but unlike at Young when Mammals Magic had to work three wide, at Bathurst she goes from gate two and should comfortably find the trail.
That will give her the chance to produce some Mammals’ magic.
