Naomi Simson will be the keynote speaker for the BizMonth Business Lunch, sponsored by Commonwealth Bank. Ms Simson founded online gift experience retailer, RedBalloon, and is also a personality on the Channel 10 program Shark Tank Australia. Saturday, September 16
Macquarie Care Centre Auxiliary Fete will be held at the centre on the corner of Russell Street and Gormans Hill Road from 9am to 1pm. There will be stalls selling home-made cakes, sweets, plants and tasty food, Devonshire teas and a barbecue.
Bathurst Artisan Market will be held in the Bathurst Library forecourt from 9am-1pm. With many of your favourite stall-holders returning and some incredible new ones, the market will be sure to awaken your shopping spirit. Grab a coffee at a local cafe or try out the markets' very own chai tea stall and enjoy the beautiful music from Smith and Jones.
Sunday, September 17
The Bathurst Edgell Jog will be run from 10.30am. Everyone from walkers to runners is welcome to take part. Anyone who completes the course in 90 minutes or less and puts their singlet number in the barrel goes into the major draw for a number of prizes.
Mini steam trains will be running across from the Adventure Playground in Durham Street from 11am-3pm. Covered shoes must be worn. Tickets: $2. Call 6331 5798.
