While their opponents in the decider – Waratahs – have not made a grand final appearance in the top grade during that time, Kelso has proven to be a consistently strong performer.
Still, the green and whites have not always enjoyed success on grand final day.
In 2011 and 2012 Kelso meet Souths in the decider and on both occasions lost 2-1.
Three years later Kelso once more faced Souths on grand final day and once again, was on the wrong end of a 2-1 result.
However, last year thanks to a Shannon Cassidy double, Kelso finally clinched a premiership as they beat St Pat’s 5-4.
“We scored a goal in the very last minute of the game,” coach Maureen Markwick recalled of that success.
“I think it will be a great game again this weekend against Waratahs.”
