I’m certain that all sides of this matter will be glad it’s finally being decided by the people.
For me the matter had to be decided by the people, either by a plebiscite (my first choice) or by this postal vote.
Yet we have the Labor Party refusing to give the people a say and the Greens, who call loudly for the protection of some tree frogs in the name of conservation, not wanting to protect the basic unit of our society, namely marriage as it’s been forever for strong, secure families where children have the right to both a dad and a mum.
Father’s Day was celebrated recently, as is Mother’s Day in May. Some are calling for “Special Persons Day” to include a wide range of inclusions.

From the Bible, Isiah 1.17: “Learn to do right, seek justice, encourage the oppressed. Defend the cause of the fatherless, plead the cause of the widow.”
Two men cannot bear children. Two women cannot bear children. Two’s company, three is a crowd.
Every child deserves someone they can call mum and dad.
