I HAVE mentioned this before but it’s great to get positive feedback from our 2MCE listeners.

One lady rang in the other day to say how much she enjoys Sunday morning on the station as she works night shift and comes home in time to catch Tim Williams’ breakfast program and then Ronnie Mac’s morning program and she won’t go to bed until they have finished.

Quite a fans there, boys.

Shows great taste, though, as they are both great programs. She now joins many listeners who are Sunday morning regulars from 6am until noon as both presenters play the tunes that let you ease into your day with a morning of memories and classic hits.

Another call that came in was from a gentleman who rang to thank us for the weekday Talking Newspaper program at midday Monday to Friday.

He has a visual deficiency that stops him from reading anything that is not in large print and he can only mange the headlines so to be able to hear the stories from the local papers is a great way for him to stay in touch especially as he lives alone.

2MCE often receives calls from people who are alone or housebound due to illness, frailty or lack of mobility and they say the sound of local voices and content is a very valuable and welcome addition to their daily life and a great companion.

Local and national news updates also play an important role in keeping people in touch with their communities.

Send a message

HOW can I get my message out to the 2MCE audience? There are many ways and it depends on a number of factors.

Are you a charity or a not for profit organisation? Are you a commercial operator? Are you a social or sporting group or some other group e.g. church, service club or school group?

2MCE can assist you and we have a number of free services such as community service announcements (CSA) or interviews to promote your event or organisation. There are some stipulations for free coverage, among them offering free services and support, charities and groups generally serving the community in a non-profit capacity.

If you are a commercial operator we can assist you with very affordable sponsorship (advertising) packages which we can put together for you to help broaden your services and sales throughout Bathurst and the surrounding region.

Some groups attempt to gain free exposure for events that offer commercial services but this does not mean they qualify for CSA support.

The easiest way to find out if we can help you is by giving us a call on 6338 4790 (business hours) and we are more than happy to discuss your situation.

There is nothing more we like better than being able to help groups that are assisting our community, as we too are a community service.
