Weatherzone has forecast 30 degrees Celsius for the day, which will make it the hottest September day for Bathurst since records began back in 1967.
It will break the record for hottest September day in Bathurst that was set in 1980.
Weatherzone meteorologist Jacob Cronje said you could look inland for the reasons behind the warm weather.
“If the temperature does exceed 29 degrees Celsius, it will be the hottest September on record,” he said.

“There are many reasons why we could see such a hot day.
“At the moment, the heat is generally being brought down by the interiors and cold frontal systems.”
The hottest day this month for Bathurst was September 13, when the mercury hit 27.2, but only three other days have hit above 20.
Nine days have started below freezing this month.
The long-term September average maximum for Bathurst is 16.4 degrees Celsius.
This September is sitting at an above average maximum temperature of 17.2.
Mr Cronje said this may change, as there is still over a week left in September.
“It’s almost a degree above average, but that will definitely change by the end of the month,” he said.
“It could be more or less. It just depends on what happens for the rest of the month.”
The mercury has not hit 30 degrees Celsius or above since March 12, when the temperature reached a high of 30.7.
Sunday is expected to be slightly cooler than Saturday, with Weatherzone predicting a high of 23 for Bathurst.
Wednesday could be another warm one, as it is forecast to hit 28.
While the temperature has been heating up, Bathurst is still suffering from a lack of rain.
Only 14.2 millimetres of rain has fallen this month, with 12.6 of it falling on one day – September 14.
All up, Bathurst had 67.3 millimetres of rain across the entire winter of 2017.
