One of Parade’s friends went through the McDonald’s drive through this week and they are already selling Helping Hands, so if you can spare $2, try to support this great charity.
McHappy Day, one of the largest national fundraisers for Ronald McDonald House Charities Australia, has been running for more than 25 years.
Last year, thanks to the support of communities across Australia, McHappy Day raised over $3.95 million to support the families of seriously ill children.
This year, McHappy Day will be held on Saturday, October 14, so circle it in your diary, and in the meantime, try to buy a helping hand.
You can also help by donating to the RMHC donation boxes in all McDonald’s restaurants.
All spare change adds up to a lot of help.
Fifty cents here, a dollar there - it might not seem much, but when millions give, the result is truly amazing.
The RMHC donation boxes help provide year-on-year funding for the charity and it all begins with people filling the donation boxes with loose change.
So if you can, show your support when you see a donation box at a McDonald’s by dropping in your spare coins.
It’s an early taste of summer
A QUICK look at the weather forecast shows some warmer days ahead. Friday is expected to get to 26 degrees, which will be followed by 30 on Saturday.
Spring has only just started, but for the next few days, at least, it will feel like summer has hit.
While Parade loves the change in seasons we have here in the city, it’s fair to say she’s over the cold weather and looking forward to things warming up.
And it looks like the warmer weather is around for a few days at least - it’s expected to reach 24 next Wednesday. Looks like it’s time to drag out the sunscreen!
