Sophie Smith and Abby Jones released their debut album Dark Gives Way in March this year and Small Town Woman, which was released in July, is the second single.
Filmed in Bathurst, the video clip features a number of local women and celebrates country life.
Since its release, Small Town Woman has made a steady climb up the charts, and on Thursday reached the top spot.
And in reaching number one, Smith & Jones blitzed well-known country music singers including: Tania Kernaghan, Tori Forsyth and Matt Cornell.
When Small Town Woman was released, Ms Smith said: “The clip pays homage to the town as well as celebrating the magic and simple beauty of country life”.
“We’ve been so supported by so many women and we feel so blessed.”
The first single for the duo was Baby Blue, and it also made the top spot on the Australian Country Radio top 10.
