Emergency Services were called to the accident, near the intersection of Howick Street, at 12.25pm on Sunday following reports that a car had left the road and crashed into a house.
NSW Ambulance Inspector Kathy Golidge said the male motorist was the only person in the car and he was treated by paramedics on scene.
“A 45-year-old male was transported to Bathurst Base Hospital with abrasions to the face and back pain,” she said.
Bathurst Fire and Rescue NSW Station Officer Andrew Henderson was also called to the scene and said there was significant damage to the front of the house.
“The car [a silver Holden Commodore] went into the front of the house and the verandah,” he said.
“It’s [the verandah] actually in a precarious position at the moment.”
Station Officer Henderson said the pillars that hold up the home’s verandah were broken in the accident.
Bathurst Regional Council crews were called in to fence off the property.
Nobody was in the house at the time of the crash.
