Griffith scored 103 runs for NSW Country across their two matches against City over the weekend at Blacktown International Sports Park, putting away deliveries from some of the best bowlers in the nation.
The Bathurst player scored 47 in the opening match before bettering that mark in Sunday’s match with a 56.
Ultimately it wasn’t enough as a classy City side prevailed in each game.
Griffith and her Country side may have gone down over the two matches but the talented all-rounder appreciated the challenge.
“The City outfit is just red hot. They had all the Australian players back, and we got flogged in that first game,” she said.
“We were a lot more composed in the second game. It was great to see the big improvement over the two days.
“Having Rachael Haynes and Alyssa Healy opening the batting, and then having Ellyse Perry the next person in, means it’s always going to be tough. It doesn’t take much for players like that to get on a roll.
“I guess from the NSW Breakers point of view it’s really good, and with The Ashes coming up it’s really good to see them firing.”
Perry was unstoppable in the second match with an unbeaten century (101).
Griffith’s two useful contributions come towards the end of a stellar 2017, a year in which she was named in the Australian Country side.
The 100-plus weekend could be the start of a special season.
“I’m pretty stoked with those two scores. I’ve worked really hard over the last few months but I didn’t think I’d be able to do that,” she said.
“Hopefully I can bring that form into this season. I’m really enjoying my cricket at the moment.”
The Sydney Women’s Cricket first grade competition now calls for Griffith as she prepares to once again help Penrith in their campaign.

She won’t be the only Bathurst player in the squad.
“We’re lucky to have Bec Cady come and join the Penrith team. She’s a great cricketer and we’re stoked to have her join us,” Griffith said.
“We’ve got a strong team together, with Women’s Big Bash players like Naomi Stalenberg and Mikayla Hinkley.”
Griffith will be out to improve on her average of 19.3 with the bat from last season.
The Bathurst duo begin their season from October 8 against 2016-17 runner-ups Sydney.
