Western batted first and worked their way to a total of 213, falling just shy of batting out their 50 overs.
Bathurst’s Ben Mitchell (45) teamed up with captain Tom Nelson (47) to put on a 75-run stand for the fifth wicket.
Tom Atlee (25), Nic Broes (23) and Ben Parsons (19) made handy contributions with the bat.
St George’s second wicket partnership threatened to reel in the total before a stumping of Broes’ bowling took the score to 2-68.
However, Western struck the decisive blow when Knaggs removed Lachlan Wilmore (13), Josh Moors (0) and Matt Turner (0) in the space of three balls.
St George then lost their next two wickets for nothing – taking them rapidly from 2-83 to 7-83.
The hosts were all out for 116 in the 38th over.
