First flight from Orange to Melbourne takes off on Monday morning

The first regular flight connecting Orange with Melbourne will take off on Monday morning. 

Corporate Air’s 34-seat Saab 340 B Plus aircraft will provide four return trips a week on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. 

A company spokesman said a Tuesday service would be added in about six weeks time. 

He said the first flight was nearly booked out. 

The spokesman said the company expected customers would be a mix of people travelling for business and leisure. 

A one-way flight will cost between $259 and $419 depending on availability.
