The murder of anti drug campaigner Donald Mackay is one of the countries most enduring crime mysteries.
Retired journo, and one time friend of Mr Mackay, Terry Jones, has just published a book on Mackay’s murder, The Griffith Wars, which has been selling like hot cakes.
On Friday, October 20, Bathurst Library is hosting a meet the author night with Terry, who will give his audience a glimpse of what happened in Griffith, and how it’s relevant to the wider criminal issues Australia faces today.
The book draws on Terry’s personal diaries and memories, and as the editor of the local newspaper in Griffith at the time of Mackay’s murder, he knew everyone and heard everything.
If you’re keen to get a copy of the book, it’s available at Books Plus, they will also be selling the book on the night.
The evening gets underway at 6pm. Tickets are free. For more information contact the library on 6333 6281.
