A Twenty20 tournament run by Cricket NSW, the Regional Bash is one suited to Dean’s aggressive style of batting.
He brings the experience of playing in the national Big Bash League competition for the Adelaide Strikers with him.
Last season Dean top scored for the Strikers in their match against the Hurricanes with an unbeaten knock of 54, a knock which included six sixes.
Dean is not the only Bathurst talent likely to compete in the Regional Bash this year.
The Central West Wranglers are part of the 16-team knockout competition, that side having been skipper by Jameel Qureshi last season. Ben Trevor-Jones, who now plays in the NSW Premier Cricket competition for Sydney Uni, said he is keen to line up for the Wranglers.
