Following an outcry from the community, Roads and Maritime Services have gone back to the drawing board to find a design that would avoid significant impact on local businesses, nor the famous avenue of trees leading into the village.
The designs will be on display until Monday, October 30 at the Service NSW office on the Mitchell Highway and at the Bathurst Regional Library.
“We will continue to work with the community and stakeholders on this project and will be seeking feedback on the design,” a spokesperson said.
Two drop-in sessions where residents can speak with members of the project team have been organised at:
- Bathurst Community Club: 4pm-7pm on Wednesday, October 18.
- Perthville Hall: 4pm-7pm on Thursday, October 19.
