The Cowra Magpies Rugby League Club will hold its second annual general meeting this Wednesday after it failed to fill the roles of president and secretary at its first attempt late last month.

The Magpies are also struggling to find someone to coach its Group 10 Rugby League premier league side in 2018.
“There might be that one person out there who is thinking about it. We need their help,” vice president Wayne Browne said.
“We had good numbers at the first meeting, but nobody is willing to step up and fill the main job.
“Without a committee there’s no football side.”
The Magpies have sent out “feelers” to entice a coach or captain-coach for next season’s Group 10 competition. They were one of five clubs to speak to former NRL player Josh Starling, who ended up signing with Oberon.
Meanwhile, Bathurst Panthers will hold its annual general meeting on October 22, with St Pat’s to stage its 2017 jersey lunch on the same day.
