A member of Wendy Turnbull’s The Lagoon stables, Bustling Barney has only had the eight starts thus far, but the last two of those have resulted in wins.
Foaled by Mainland Banner, a daughter of New Zealand superstar Christian Cullen, Bustling Barney picked up his first career win earlier this month against strong company.
He took out Eugowra’s Canola Cup Consolation in all the way fashion, then backed that up with a win on his home track at Bathurst.
Jason Turnbull was in the gig for both of those victories and has the job again on Wednesday in the Join The NSW Owners Association Pace (1,730 metre).
While in career best form, going from barrier eight will be a challenge in a race where his rivals include stablemate Lucky Iffy.
The race jumps at 6.10pm.
