Hope Coombes, Renelle Donges, Isabelle Wilson and Grace Kemp are all travelling to Homebush to compete in the PSSA carnival.
For 12-year-old Grace Kemp, who is competing in shot put it’s the first time she’s made it through to the state level. While she’s nervous, she said she’s been practising and working on technique.
Isabelle Wilson, who is competing in discus, is also competing at state level for the first time.
Both Hope Coombes (12) and Renelle Donges have competed at Homebush before. Renelle is competing in the 800 metres, and Hope in the 800m and 1500m track events.
Matthew Gibson, from Assumption School, said the girls have impressed with their talents and training to win medals at school, regional, Diocesan and Polding levels to gain selection for the PSSA carnival.
“The Assumption Primary School community is incredibly proud of these girls. It is a huge achievement to have four students reach the PSSA level in the same year.”
