Kate and Dayne Fallon, Jack Branda and Clayton and Jai Chatfield won all their fights, while Dylan Branda lost on a points decision.
Overall, nine fighters competed in the NSW team and won seven of their nine fights in Hobart.
Snakebite Boxing coach Jamie Fallon said he was impressed with the effort of his students.
“They all went really well, better than expected especially with the boys,” he said.
“They outfoxed the Tasmanians, even when some of those Tasmanians have had four, five or six fights. Our kids are quite impressive, considering lack of experience they have in the ring.
“All the kids trained well before the fight. They all behaved well and worked really hard. I’m very proud.
“Now these kids have had a fight, we’re thinking about taking them interstate again because they’ve got to be 14 to fight in NSW.”
Fallon said he was impressed with 10-year-old Jai Chatfield.
“Out of everyone, I was more worried about him. He was the baby of the group. He was only 10,” he said.
“He was the first fight of the night and he absolutely killed it. He struck well and he didn’t get hit. Jai enjoyed it. He didn’t find it hard. It makes me proud as a coach which means we’re doing the right things.”
Regardless of the loss, Fallon said he was impressed with the attitude of Dylan Branda after he lost his fight.
“Sometimes as a coach it’s easier to get a loss out of your system,” he said.
“Dylan got a loss and it’s not a bad loss. Dylan was straight back into the gym on Monday. That shows me that he wasn’t upset about it. It was really good sportsmanship.”
It was the first time many of the fighters had been on a aeroplane and assistant coach Nathan Belbin said it could have been an extremely daunting for some of his students.
“On a long flight and some of them never being on a plane before, I was amazed and impressed by them going over there and performing the way they did,” he said.
“After every single fight, I was extremely happy. I was a little bit overwhelmed.
“I was really happy that they got in there and fought and put their hearts on the line.”
Belbin praised the effort of Dayne Fallon who, at just 10-years-old, was able to defeat his Tasmanian opponent who was three years older than him.
Belbin said Fallon’s movement and punching was amazing during his fight.
