Through the eight rounds of competition, the speedy winger with a strong fend crossed for 11 tries to top the table ahead of talented Orange Hawks fullback Sophie Stammers.
Jones’ team-mate Elise Woods also featured amongst the leading scorers as she crossed five times to help the Saints advance to the November 4 finals.
That duo played in the Group 10 premiership winning league tag outfit, but it was a newcomer – Haylee Lepaio - who has impressed Jones.
“She only tried it for the first time a couple of weeks ago and she’s just smashing it. You can hear the body clashes,” Jones said.
“She’s incredible and obviously picks up multiple sports very easily. She has those one-handed dishes, it’s great.”
