Red Cross Big Cake Bake Day will be held at the Red Cross shop at 78 George Street from 10am. There will be cakes, jams and other tasty goodies.
Saturday, October 28
The annual Bathurst Gardeners’ Club Spring Spectacular will be held on Saturday and Sunday. There will be nine gardens open, including town and rural gardens. Tickets for the Spring Spectacular are $20 and will be available from all the gardens and the Bathurst Visitor Information Centre.
The Miss Traill’s House Garden Market will be held on Saturday and Sunday from 9.30am to 3.30pm as part of the Spring Spectacular. There will be free entry to the garden market, which will include a Bathurst Gardeners’ Club giant plant stall, many garden-related stalls, morning and afternoon teas, barbecue lunches and live music between 11am and 2pm. There will also be a special entry price of $5 to the Miss Traill’s House Museum (last tour at 3pm).
Sunday, October 29
Bathurst Aquatic Centre will host a free open day from 11am to 4pm in celebration of the facility’s 10-year anniversary. The open day will include an aqua inflatable, a jumping castle, barbecue lunch and novelty races.

All Saints’ Spring Fair will be held on Saturday, November 4 from 9am until 1pm and it will be a plastic bag-free zone. There will be lots of wonderful stalls, tasty food and treasures to find. For more information, call Christine Hurford on 0488 088 910.
Macquarie Care Centre Auxiliary will hold its Melbourne Cup Luncheon at the Holy Trinity Church Hall, Kelso on Tuesday, November 7 from 11.30am. There will be musical entertainment, lucky door prizes and a fashion parade by Belle Chemise showing the coming season's fashions. Can Assist will hold its Christmas luncheon at the Bathurst RSL on November 16 from noon for 12.30pm. There will be a two-course lunch with tea and coffee plus great raffle prizes.
