And what better way to acknowledge the wonderful volunteer managers in our local community than by celebrating them on International Volunteer Managers Day.
International Volunteer Managers Day (IVMD) was observed for the first time in 1999, and since has become an important date on the volunteering sector’s annual calendar.
Celebrated annually on November 5, IVMD is the perfect opportunity to thank all those that facilitate and support the work of countless volunteers the world over.
Their skills, knowledge and contributions create a better place for individuals, communities and countries. Without such professional leadership, the time, talents and efforts of vital volunteers might go to waste.
So without further ado, to all our local volunteer managers, we would like to take this opportunity to thank you immensely for your wonderful contributions to the community.
All the hard work you do for our community is much appreciated and valued.
If you know a volunteer manager in the community, don’t forget to acknowledge their contributions in the coming weeks. This could be as simple as a verbal thank you or personalising a card … or perhaps even baking them a cake.
If you would like more information on how you can thank a volunteer manager, or to become involved in volunteering, follow The Neighbourhood Centre on Facebook or call us on 6332 4866.
The Neighbourhood Centre is at 96 Russell Street, Bathurst.
