Perthville/Georges Plains RFS brigade's captain retires

COLIN Humphries was recognised for his 25 years of service at the captain at Perthville/Georges Plains Rural Fire Brigade on Saturday evening.

Members past and present came together at Bathurst Harness Racing Club for the celebration.

Mr Humphries has been a NSW Rural Fire Service firefighter for the past 32 years with the brigade.

Members past and present members of the brigade, along with fellow RFS members from the Chifley/Lithgow Zone office attended the function.

During the evening, Mr Humphries received his 30 years long service medal and was also presented with life membership of the brigade.

The Perthville/Georges Plains fire station was named the ‘Colin Humphries Rural Fire Shed’ in honour of his many years of hard work and dedication.
