The Bathurst RSL Club has been a part of the local community for almost 90 years. It’s 14,500 members are a testament to not only the club itself, but the work and support that they provide to individuals and groups across the region.

After being named the People’s Choice in 2016, the team at Bathurst RSL have again been rewarded for their efforts taking out the award Excellence in Business (20+ Staff) at this years Carillon Business Awards.

The Club employs over 96 staff and General Manager, Peter Sargent, said the core values of the Club are behind the large team achieving their best. “Our values are respect, service and loyalty. These values are reflected in everything we do from staff training, to how we treat and serve our members, to how we support the community. Our main purpose is to serve Bathurst by providing community support, excellent service and facilities to our members and the community,” he said.

It is through hard work and upholding these values that Bathurst and the surrounding region benefits every year, with the Bathurst RSL Club providing much needed financial and in-kind support to numerous sporting and cultural clubs, not for profit organisations and local events.

Mr Sargent dedicated the win to the team of staff saying, “It is recognition of all the hard work our staff have put into the business over the last 12 months and to be rewarded by the community of Bathurst is an honour.”
