A decade on, the youth group has grown massively in that time and will now celebrate its ten year anniversary on Saturday at the Bathurst City Community Club.
Ms Gant is now the Central West regional manager and has seen the group grow since she first came to Bathurst.
“There was three of us that had been at boarding school in Armidale. We had been apart of Young Life in Armidale and thought about bringing it here,” she said.
Young Life Bathurst area manager Ansia Klavins said the group aims at building relationships with teenagers in the community.
“Our primary goal is to build relationships with teens,” she said.
“We also help build confidence, values and resilience, by sharing the love of the Lord Jesus Christ.”
Celebrations begin at 6pm on Saturday evening, with barefoot bowls on the green followed by a barbecue.
Anyone who has even been involved with Young Life in any capacity are invited to attend.
Attendees are asked to RSVP by November 15 and for more information on the event, visit the Facebook page event – Celebrating 10 years of Young Life Bathurst.
