Still unbeaten in Australia, Mrs Browns Boy returns from a three month spell when he lines up for the Billy Soo Memorial Blayney Cup (2,400 metres).
Mrs Browns Boy will be hard to stop in his bid for a seventh straight win.
Turnbull is also defending the Blayney Cup after going 1-2 in the race with Chumlee and Parramatta last year.
“He’s come back looking really good and he’s strengthened up a bit,” Turnbull said of her contender.
“We spelled him because there wasn’t really much racing for him at the time, and we knew when he came back he’d be ready for when the Carnival of Cups meetings start up.”
The last start before Mrs Browns Boy’s spell – a Menangle Country Series Final win – was a real eye-opener.
After sitting in the death seat for the whole trip Mrs Browns Boy was able to break away in the closing stages to win in a career best mile rate of 1:52.1.
“He sat in the death and won after doing all that work. He’s actually better from the sit so if he gets back there he’ll go good,” Turnbull said.
“There’s a couple of horses drawn inside of him that might try and hold him out.
“He should go alright at the smaller track. He won at Bankstown and he works really well for us at home.”
Turnbull said she always looks forward to Blayney’s meetings.
“It’s a track that’s just around the corner,” she said.
“I had my horses go 1-2 in this race last year so it’s good going back to try and win this one again.”
Mrs Browns Boy starts from gate four.
All 10 runners in the Billy Soo Memorial have Bathurst trainers or drivers.
While Mrs Browns Boy will take some stopping there’s several in-form runners looking to spoil to cup defence.
Peter Bullock’s Lorenzo Shannon goes to Blayney in search of a third straight win but will be making a big step up in class.
Miss Rodriguez, trained by Wayne White, showed her capabilities when she won a Country Series heat on Friday last week.
The Blayney meeting also includes two Country Series Heats and two other memorial races.
Racing starts from 1.34pm Sunday, with the gates going back in the Billy Soo Memorial Blayney Cup at 4.18pm.
