The public will have their chance to catch a glimpse of some classic A9X Torana cars at the Bathurst Showground on Sunday, as the A9X Torana Club of Australia will celebrate the its 40th anniversary.

With Friday and Saturday reserved for private events, members of the public will be able to get up and close with the cars at the Bathurst Swap Meet, Car and Bike Show.
Club secretary Peter Dixon said there is over 100 members from across Australia.
“The A9X Torana Club of Australia Inc was established in 1992 to assist members identify and preserve genuine examples of the A9X Torana by providing assistance with information, parts, and service,” he said.
“The A9X Torana was introduced in 1977 in time for the Hang Ten Sandown 500 endurance race in Melbourne, where Peter Brock brought the Bill Patterson Racing A9X hatchback home in first place on its first outing.”
The public can also catch the cars on Saturday, when the club stops off at the Tarana Hotel for lunch.
Gates open at the swap meet at 7am.
Over 30 cars are expected to participate, with over 70 people involved at the nationals.
The nationals are expected to be one of the biggest events, for the club, in recent times.
