On Saturday and Sunday, however, he went across the iconic motor racing circuit as a competitor at Challenge Bathurst.
McAdie is frequently kept busy, as he takes his 1969 Alpine A110 Renault to various classic car meets across Australia.
“It’s my first effort at Challenge Bathurst,” he said.
“I’ve done Philip Island Car Classic, I’ve done Targa Tasmania and next weekend I’m doing Revival Geelong.
“I’m just having fun – that’s the name of the game.”
Due to wet weather on Saturday, McAdie did not participate in his first full session until the Sunday.

“I only did two laps yesterday in different sessions. The track was just two risky,” he said.
“[Sunday] was a much better day. I was probably the slowest car out there because it’s only 1.3 litres.
“Of course you’re up against big bangers like the V8s and mustangs. They just go past you like you’re standing still. I might be doing 160 kilometres but they might be to 265.”
McAdie best time in his first regularity trial was 4:31.9 in his fourth lap, having nominated a time 3:10.0.
He managed a better time in his second regularity trial – a time of 4:08.5.
