On this Sunday, the event will see runners take to the iconic circuit for the hot lap of a lifetime.
Participants will start the run under the footbridge on Pit Straight and head anti-clockwise up the Mount.
Race director Jennifer Arnold said runners will be required to maintain a steady pace to make the required time.

“For runners to finish in one hour, an average pace of 9.4 minutes per kilometre will be required,” she said.
Strict cut-off times will be in operation during the event, at three kilometres (30 minutes, at McPhillamy Park), five kilometres (45 minutes) and the finish (one hour, at 6.2 kilometres).
The run is 6.2 kilometres long and reaches an elevation of 174 metres.
“Good runners should be able to do it in the low 20s [minutes],” Ms Arnold said.
She said she was impressed to have received so many entries for the event’s inaugural year, and more than half of the people are coming from outside the 2795 postcode.
“I’m surprised that people are travelling so far to do it,” she said. “There’s a group of women planning a road trip from Queensland.”
Ms Arnold said a few people have registered for the event who once took part in the King of the Mountain run held in the 1980s.
The circuit will be closed to all traffic during the event, with the exception of residents and emergency service vehicles.

Ms Arnold said due to a car racing event being held straight after the Mount Panorama Punish, checkpoint times will be strictly adhered to by organisers.
A bus will be available to pick up runners who have been unable to make it to the checkpoints in time.
Online entries must be received at www.panoramapunish.com by Wednesday evening.
Late entries will be accepted on Saturday from 7.30am-9.30am at the Bathurst parkrun event at Bicentennial Park, and also from 3-5pm at Harris Park at Mount Panorama.
The event commences at 8am on Sunday.
All proceeds from the event will be donated to Marathon Health.
