Over the past 12 years, the four person shotgun start Ambrose has seen in excess of $225,000 raised by the Bathurst Liquor Accord, which goes towards community and charity work in the Bathurst region.
Some of the projects which have benefited from these funds are the Kelso Community Centre’s “Walk In Wednesday” and the Bathurst City Community Club’s Food Bank program.
This year’s event is being held on Wednesday, November 22 at the Bathurst Golf Club, with a start time of 9am for a shotgun start.
Teams can be registered at the golf club for $30 per head, which includes light refreshments and a BBQ lunch.
Once the golf is finished for the day, there will be an auction and raffle in the clubhouse, there has been a fabulous range of prizes donated including accommodation packages from Rydges hotels and many other enjoyable items.
If you don’t fancy yourself as the next Jason Day, you are welcome to join the fun at the golf club from 3:30pm to bid in the auction and purchase some raffle tickets.
All funds raised will go back into the local community. Bathurst Liquor Accord strives to provide training and education for patrons regarding the individual’s responsibilities in licensed premises.
Liquor Accord president Stumpy Taylor said alcohol misuse is reduced through education.
