General manager Stephen Champion said the season will feature a varied program of productions, including things such as juniors workshops, classical music and dramas.
“Part of the aim of a community entertainment centre like BMEC is to have something for the whole community and cover a range of genres,” he said.
The 2018 program will be launched at BMEC with a special function on Tuesday evening.
Mr Champion said the purpose of the launch itself is to give the Friends of BMEC members the opportunity to plan their entertainment for the next 12 months early.
“What we do is give BMEC Friends, that’s members and subscribers, we give them until January 15 to have a priority booking period,” he said.
“That is one of the benefits, being able to book prime seats early and after January 15 we will open up bookings to the general public.”
Anyone who would like to attend the season launch has to contact the BMEC box office on 6333 6161.
“In the theatre from 6pm we will show everyone a little bit of each production and then from 7.15pm we’ll have a reception in City Hall,” Mr Champion said.
