This week’s offering is the classic play Our Town by Thornton Wilder, presented by MacKillop and St Stanislaus’ College - and a bit of a new creative direction for their productions.
See it nightly until Saturday this week at 7pm at MacKillop College.
And while we’re celebrating the efforts of local young artists, a reminder that next Wednesday, November 29 from 6pm Bathurst Arts Council hosts the annual Youth Arts Awards Showcase at Bathurst Memorial Entertainment Centre.

- After braving the rain (don’t worry, they have wet weather contingency plans), the Bathurst Shakespeare Players continue their run of As You Like It at 7pm Thursday to Saturday this week at Abercrombie House. Phone them on 6331 4929.
- The Latin American Film Festival continues through to Saturday with free screenings at 4pm and 6pm at Charles Sturt University’s Ponton Theatre.
- Back by popular demand is the Route 66 Cabaret Dinner Show on Friday, November 24 at 6.30pm at Bishop’s Court Estate. Phone 0422 303 311.
- Adam Harvey is joined by Mickey Pye and Abby Smith for the Fight the Bite Concert on Saturday at 6.30pm at Panthers.
- Rhythm Underground is back at Jenolan Caves on Saturday from 6pm.
- Oberon Arts Council presents music from the 1950s and 1960s with The 66ers on Sunday from 3pm at Oberon Golf Club. Admission $25.
- The final, very final, Fun Theatre for the Very Young show for 2-6 year olds and their families is on Sunday, November 26 at 11am at the CWA Hall in Russell Street. Kids $5, adults free.
A day in the sun
SUNNY Corner Day is on again in the Sunny Corner Hall and Greg Hyde’s studio showing paintings, etchings and prints. This Sunday, November 26, 10am-5pm.
Arts gossip
BATHURST Regional Art Gallery director Richard Perram will dish the dirt during his free illustrated curator’s talk, Andy Warhol’s Private Life & His Art, this Thursday, November 23.

Work with a star
FRENCH-born physical theatre and dance artist Philippe Blanchard is at BMEC all week and keen to work with local performers 2pm-5pm each day.
