All Bunnings stores nationally will be drop-off points for this Christmas collection drive, which provides a simple yet meaningful way to donate essential items to women who are doing it tough, experiencing homelessness, domestic violence, or poverty.

People have until December 2 to support the cause by heading down to Bunnings Bathurst, to drop off a handbag filled with items that could make a big difference to someone in need. Useful items can include essential sanitary staples and personal care products, as well as something a bit more special, like a Christmas card or small note of support.

To get involved and help share the dignity this Christmas, visit Bunnings Bathurst to drop off your handbag and help a woman in need.

This year, the campaign has expanded and is also collecting bags to assist homeless teenagers; anyone donating a bag for a younger woman is asked to tie a yellow ribbon around this gift so it can be distinguished from the others and given to a young woman in need.

Helen Daunt, who is assisting in the collection of the bags said she and her daughter each made a bag to give.

Mrs Daunt said she wanted to help vulnerable women.
