Parade left work on Monday afternoon to find that her car had been damaged while parked on the side of the road.
The person who caused the damage didn’t leave a note, but someone who worked at a business nearby witnessed the incident and left a note with information to help Parade out.
A taxi driver also witnessed the incident and left their contact details at the business to pass on.
Parade understands that accidents happen sometimes, but people do need to own up to their mistakes.
In this case, that didn’t happen, but that is why she is very grateful for the kind people who witnessed the incident and did what they could to help a stranger out.
Without their help, Parade knows she would have been left with a damaged car and no idea what had occurred.
Rain was a great blessing
PARADE was pleased to see so much rain fall over the weekend.
Those few drops have made a big difference in Bathurst after some dry conditions in recent months.
As the rain fell, Parade was hoping there would be at least 30 millimetres, so she was pleasantly surprised to see that between Friday and Monday morning there was nearly 60mm recorded.
Hopefully that will make a difference to the farmers of the region.
Thankful for no shopping chaos
PEOPLE living in the United States will celebrate Thanksgiving this week, a time where they express thanks for the things in their lives they are grateful for.
This time of year makes Parade thankful, too, but for a very different reason.
She is thankful that the holiday isn’t on the Australian calendar, because in the U.S. it is followed by Black Friday.
The tradition of going shopping for bargains the day after Thanksgiving causes chaos every year and has even resulted in deaths.
That’s why Parade is thankful that we in Australia don’t have such a day and are free to shop safely.
