Grabham picked up a pair of junior Victorian Dirt Track State Titles over the weekend to showcase his potential on two wheels.
The young Bathurst rider is following in the footsteps of his father Damien, who also came away with a first place trophy in the weekend’s racing at Mildura.
Noah’s two-title effort repeats his performance at the South Australia Dirt Track State Titles earlier this year.
His two wins came in the 65cc 7-9 years and 85cc Mod 7-10 years categories.
Damien Grabham is thrilled with his son’s achievements.
“I’m very proud,” he said.
“This is pretty much his first year of racing on these bikes and in these classes.
“He did do some racing on the little 50cc’s but this is his first year at this level. He’s going really good, and he just keeps getting better and better.
“He’ll stay on these two bikes for next year.
“He’s been riding since he was 18 months old, just cruising around the paddock and having fun. He’s really keen on racing speedway and he’s told me he wants to be the world speedway champion when he’s older.”
Noah also bagged a pair of sixth placings at the New South Wales State Titles this year against a very competitive junior field.
Damien Grabham said his Over 35s trophy over the weekend at Mildura was just a bonus.
“I was only racing because I was taking Noah down for a ride,” he said.
“I had a good race in the 35s and I had a go at the Pro Opens as well but I crashed out of that one.
“That didn’t really bother me though because I was more excited to watch Noah than be out there myself.”
Grabham said there were riders who travelled even further than themselves to get to the state titles.
“They ran a really good meeting there, with about 70 people all up. People from South Australia and Victoria were there and also riders from Queensland and New South Wales,” he said.
The win for Damien Grabham comes shortly after his Over 35s podium result at the Australian Long Track Masters, held at the Bathurst Showground.
