Council has joined with Special Olympics Australia to bring the Soar and Roar Festival to Bathurst. Luxury car brands and motorbikes from around NSW will make their way to Sydney Motorsport Park this Sunday to celebrate Special Olympics athletes, their families and support networks and raise much-needed funds for the not-for-profit organisation. Mount Panorama Punish, one “hot lap” of the iconic motor racing circuit, will start at 8am. With 174 metres of elevation gain over the 6.2-kilometre track, Mount Panorama Punish is a running race with no peer. Entry is $25 for adults and $15 for under 18s.
